Hi all,
I am going to buy a canon 450D. Kindly help me chosing the lenses. Primarily I have thought for a canon 50mm f/1.8. Now for telephoto, what will be better, 70-300mm or 100-400mm in respect of creating bokeh. Both the lenses have aperture 5.6 in the long end I read. Is that good enough? I mean good enough in creating photos like the eagle on the site's banner.
Is 50mm good for potraits as well as for wide angle?Or should I invest on wide angle lens too? Can I do macro photography with these lenses?
Lastly, is canon 450D good enough or should I plan for any better canon(I personally like canon, no reason) camera? _________________ We do not deserve a national animal. |

70-300 vs 100-400 is not an apple to apple comparison.
100-400 is a winner without question. It is not sufficient to produce a bokeh like the eagle on the banner as it was shot with a 600mm f4. But it surely can produce a better bokeh than a 70-300 even though the aperture is the same. Focal length increase is very important for shallow DOFs (Bokeh) _________________ Cheers,
