congrats on the primates jack pot ... i just love the screaming jumping gibbon pic !! the pics are just amazing ... i fail to understand as to how you could get such stunning shots in a hardly lit jungle.
sad you missed out on the pigmy elephants and the tarsier Sad .. but thats a good reason to go back !!
I saw pigmy elephant foot prints in danum ..dont know why the guides told you that spotting them is impossible ... my guides told me that its unlikely ... they did not rule out a chance though...
the sumatran rhinos ... thats a different story ...they say there are 6 or 8 left in danum and maliau basin Sad
where are the snake pics Smile ..

I am astounded at how in 3 weeks you have shown us so much of what borneo has to offer ....

and getting the binturong in open !! phew !! thats my favorite pic of your trip Smile
or may be its the tiger leech :p

Just now had logged onto flickr and saw the pic of rhino hornbill, so just couldn't wait any longer. All the pics are just amazing. It is a treat to watch, Mr. Jayant, and leaves just anyone speechless. Thank you so much.

Regards, and all the best in everything you do.

Once again Jayanth has delighted us by giving a special peek into the mysterious secrets of an enchanting wildlife habitat. He continues on with his sheer determination and commitment through the lens along with a willingness to sometimes trudge through precarious situations. He always delivers back to his readers an excellently compiled report complete with his usual stunning photograph images!

I learn something new from each adventure and trip report, such as how Monkeys can swim and that Orangutans move about the canopy forest making a new nest every day. Once again thanks Jayanth, for your all hard work and dedication which has allowed us to share this magical world through your eyes. Very Happy

Finally had time to finish the read man! Now "Brilliant" would be a gross Under Statement for this phenomenal read. I kind of like your style where you start off by introducing the area and the surroundings before diving into the residents of the region. How come no accounts of the Tiger Leech? I know you said the report is long, but who cares when you have fun reading it?? Wink

Dear Jayanth,
Saying "awesome as usual" somehow does not seem right since there is nothing "usual" about your amazing trip report and pictures.

It is a wonderful balance of Nature that while it has it's enemies, it also has close friends like you who spread it's word with beauty and passion.

Keep up the good work and wish you the very best in your endeavors,

adnan

Hi Jayanth,

Needless to say that the trip report is great and photographs too. I noticed that you have used flash in few photographs to bring in greater details. Correct me if I'm wrong or if you used some other external light source.

In case you used flash did you use the "Better Beamer". If you throw some light on this it would be very beneficial. I was looking for a better beamer kit from RK Photo guide but Naresh doesn't have one. Same goes for Photo Circle and Mysore Photo. Let me know and thanks in advance for your time.
